A. Selling your car with us couldn't be simpler!
Enter your vehicle registration on our website and click the 'Get Valuation' button.
Our system will present you with your car's details and ask you to verify them. Once you have confirmed the make and model of your vehicle you will be asked to
enter some additional information including the current mileage and your contact details.
A pre-inspection valuation will then be calculated for you. Once you click the 'Accept' button one of our friendly team members will give you a call to
arrange a full inspection of your vehicle. During this appointment a final offer will be calculated and offered to you based on the vehicle condition,
mileage, paperwork and current market prices.
If you're happy with the final offer the vehicle purchaser will complete the sale there and then and you will receive instant payment for your car.
Our transport team will then aim to collect your vehicle within a week.
The vehicle inspection is a free, no-obligation appointment, so if you're not happy with the final offer there is no pressure to sell to us on the day.
Please note however that should you change your mind at a later date, a second appointment may need to be arranged to inspect the vehicle for any changes.
A. We come to you!
We have dedicated Money4yourMotors vehicle purchasers working up and down the country. Once you accept the online valuation and book an appointment with us,
we assign our closest purchaser to you.
Our friendly and knowledgeable purchaser will come to visit you at your home or work address at a convenient time for you. We conduct appointments 7 days
a week, including evenings.
A. We will need to see some ID from you during your appointment. This can vary depending on the circumstances of the sale and
your vehicle, so our team will go through the specific documentation we will need to see when booking you in for an appointment.
However, we typically ask for the following:
If your valuation is under £10,000 and we are coming to visit you at the vehicles registered address, we'll need to see one piece of photo ID
and one document to prove your address. In this instance your drivers licence can be used for both forms of ID.
If your valuation is over £10,000 and we are coming to visit you at the vehicles registered address, we'll need to see either one piece of photo ID
and two documents to prove your address OR two pieces of photo ID and one document to prove your address.

We will also need to see the V5C document for the vehicle. In some cases, it is possible to purchase a vehicle without this, however this will be
decided on a case-by-case basis, and you may wait longer for your payment. If you do not hold a V5C for your car please mention this to
our team prior to your appointment so that we can carry out other relevant checks.
Please note that in order to comply with the relevant legal obligations that apply to high-value transactions you may be required to show proof
of purchase and the source of funds used.
A. In order to sell a vehicle to us, you must have been the legal owner and/or registered keeper of the vehicle for a minimum
of 3 months prior to the date of the valuation. This means that the V5C needs to have been in your name for a minimum of 3 months.
This ensures that you have the legal right to sell the vehicle to us.
A. You can sell your car to us no matter its tax or MOT status. However, when our system produces an online valuation for you
it assumes that your vehicle has a minimum of 3 months remaining on the MOT.
During the vehicle inspection, if we discover that the vehicle has a short (less than 3 months) or invalid MOT, this may negatively affect
your final offer. This is because our vehicle inspector is unable to accurately gauge that the vehicle meets the minimum safety level
required by law.
A. If you decide to sell your car to Money4yourMotors we take care of an instant bank transfer for the final offer agreed upon.
During your appointment you will need to have your banking details to hand so that our vehicle purchaser can make the payment to you.
The purchaser will stay with you until you have received the funds, giving you peace of mind that the transaction has been taken care of.
A. The vehicle inspection is a free, no-obligation appointment. There is no charge if you choose NOT to sell your vehicle to us.
Should you decide to sell to us there may be an Administration Charge depending on the purchase price:
For vehicles with a purchase price of up to £100 there is no administration charge. An Administration Charge of £99 is applicable for vehicles with a
purchase price of £100 or more.
£5,000 or more£78.75
A. Our pre-inspection valuation is valid for 5 days. Our system retains your valuation making it possible for you to book an appointment
within 5 days from the date the valuation was first issued.
A. The online valuation is a pre-inspection computer-generated price which may be subject to change. We always need to thoroughly inspect a
vehicle before we can produce a final offer. The final offer is based on the vehicle condition, mileage, paperwork and also the current market prices.
It's important to remember that several factors can affect a cars valuation, including the fact that most simply depreciate over time.
A. If you would like to keep your private plate you will need to contact the DVLA and ask them to transfer your car back to its original
number plate. Please be aware that the DVLA will need your V5C and the process can take several weeks. It's a good idea to start this process with the
DVLA before asking us for a valuation as you will need your V5C document returned in order for us to purchase your car.
Alternatively, we are happy to purchase your vehicle with your private plate if you aren't bothered about retaining it.
A. We will buy your vehicle if you have outstanding finance on it and we will even deal directly with the finance company for you.
When we buy your car, we will pay the outstanding amount to the finance company, and any balance of the purchase price is paid directly to you.
A. Selling your car can be a daunting task so we understand that selling the car of a person who has passed away can be really difficult.
We're here to make the process as hassle-free as we can during this time.
After accepting the online valuation for the vehicle, you will be contacted by a member of our team to arrange an appointment for a vehicle inspection.
During this call you will be asked if the vehicle is in your name, at this point you should explain that the vehicle owner has deceased.
We will book an appointment at a convenient time and location and you will be asked to provide the following documents at the appointment:
- The death certificate of the vehicle owner
- Legal proof of your entitlement to sell the vehicle on behalf of the deceased's Estate. This could be part of the will where you are named,
or on a solicitor's letter showing your entitlement to deal with the proceeds of the Estate. You may be named as an executor of the will, or there may be
other legal proofs that show your entitlement to sell the vehicle. If there is more than one executor of the will, we would require all named executors
to be present at the time of sale, prior to any agreed payment being made. All named executors will be required to provide personal proofs of identification.
A. A car that doesn't run can still have a market value and, in most cases, we are happy to treat the purchase of your non-runner just
like any other vehicle. Our service still includes an inspection at your home or place of work, payment by instant bank transfer and free collection
of your vehicle.
A. We collect personal information from you such as name, address, telephone number and email address when a valuation form is completed by you.
Your email address is used to email your valuation and your number is used to call you to arrange your appointment.
Please do not submit your personal information to us if you do not wish us to collect it.
The personal information you provide to us will be used for the purposes of administration and processing the purchase of a vehicle.
